The Justice for Farmworkers Campaign is
sponsored by the Justice for Farmworkers Coalition, a statewide
coalition of farmworkers and advocates of which RMM is a member.
The Coalition is dedicated to improving farmworker living
and working conditions in New York through organizing, litigation
and direct action. One concern of the Campaign is an ongoing
effort to achieve equality for farmworkers under New York
State labor law. Currently, farmworkers are excluded from
many of the basic protections enjoyed by other workers in
the state. As a result, farmworkers are denied collective
bargaining protections, overtime pay, an optional day of rest,
