- Delegations – Delegations
are experiential education trips that introduce people of
faith and students more intimately to farmworkers and farmworker
issues. Ranging from a half or full day, a delegation is
an opportunity to learn first-hand about the agricultural
industry and about the lives, working and living conditions,
and the hopes of farmworkers. Participants value most the
chance to meet, share a meal, and reflect together with
farmworkers. For more information on delegations please
contact us.
- Presentations – RMM is committed
to efforts to raise the consciousness of the general public
about the impact of prejudice and poverty upon the rural
and farmworking communities of New York. RMM offers presentations
to communities of faith, social ministry groups, youth groups,
students, and others open to learning the reality of those
different than themselves. Presenters are often members
of the rural and farmworking communities willing to share
their stories and experiences. Please contact us to schedule
a presentation.
- Adult Forums and Workshops –
RMM's educational efforts extends to those interested
in exploring social justice, their faith, and developing
their skills in implementing strategies for social justice.
RMM's offers workshops and forums for those open to
building bridges with different cultures, engaging in theological
reflection, and putting faith in action. Please contact
us if you are interested in participating.
