Sowing
Seeds for Justice Fundraising Gala A
note of thanks to those who helped to make the second annual Sowing Seeds for
Justice Dinner in New York City a wonderful success. Your contributions are greatly
appreciated by co-sponsors, Rural & Migrant Ministry and the Greater New York
Labor-Religion Coalition. Through such events, we are able to raise funds to continue
work on the Justice for Farmworkers Campaign, as well as raise awareness and build
community. This years dinner was held
at the Banquet Center at Trinity Church Wall Street. We were blessed with an array
of prominent and dynamic speakers, including Julie Chavez Rodriquez (Cesar E.
Chavez Foundation), Charles Osgood (CBS News), Dan Barber (Blue Hill Restaurant),
and H. Carl McCall (HealthPoint) and Denis Hughes (NYS AFL-CIO). Below
