resources for congregations

Rural & Migrant Ministry is committed to helping communities of faith explore their faith in relationship to issues of rural social transformation. Throughout our history we have offered the following:

  • We are always happy to come to your congregation and preach, offer an adult forum or brainstorm with your outreach committee about mission.
  • Delegations offer the chance for a group of allies to meet with farmworkers and rural workers and get a better sense of the issues they face.
  • We have some great liturgies, displays and curriculums for youth and adults. Give Jane Konitz a call at 845-485-8627 to learn more.

Rural & Migrant Ministry offers a number of volunteer opportunities and internships for the members of your congregation. Join us and not only help us out, but become a bridge between RMM and your congregation.

Rural & Migrant Ministry also is a proud co-sponsor of the Justice For All Speakers Forum in the Hudson/Catskill region of New York. The Justice For All Speakers Forum began in 2004 and has its roots in the small Episcopal congregation of St. Margaret’s Staatsburg New York. Their hope was to raise awareness about the intimate and necessary connection between the Judeo-Christian tradition and action on behalf of justice for the poor, the marginalized, the disenfranchised and the oppressed both in our nation and in our world. To find out more about the Forum, visit their web-site at www.allforjustice.org
