Sara Carbajal was born in Mexico and migrated to the USA when was 24 years old to marry her husband. Since then she’s worked in apple orchards, picking and harvesting fruits, and trimming and planting trees. She has also worked as crew recruiter. Her skills include supervisor and business management, strategic planning, resources allocation, leadership techniques, and administrative coordination of people and resources. Sara is also a Translator and Interpreter. She previously worked for PathStone as a Safety Trainor and Outreach Worker, providing educational information to agricultural workers and employers in areas such as: Pesticide Safety, Heat Stress, Work-Related Back Injuries and the Impact of Occupational Loud Noises on Hearing. As an Outreach worker, she identified and recruited workers that met specific criteria and enrolled them in the program. Sara is the proud mother of 5 beautiful children and she’s a very active participant in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Marion, New York. She joins us as the Western New York CENSUS Outreach Worker.
