Volunteer nurses at the Summer Overnight Leadership Camp, who have founded a scholarship fund for YEP members interested in a career in health care.

In honor and memory of Pedro Cruz, former Youth Empowerment staff member, the Ministry has set up the Pedro Cruz Scholarship Fund. Pedro was a remarkable man who always put the youth first. He was determined to create opportunities for our youth. Even when he was given just a few months to live as he battled cancer, he was still holding Youth Arts Group meetings and counseling youth, and these efforts turned from a few months into several years. The Pedro Cruz Fund helps graduates of the Youth Empowerment Program with their college related costs.

The Amity-Faircloth Fund provides camperships for our Summer Overnight Leadership campers. Started by the deep faithfulness and generosity of the members of the Amity Presbyterian Church in Warwick New York, and in honor of the co-founder and long time director of the Camp, Ruth Faircloth.

The Nurses Scholarship Fund was created by the passionate and compassionate nurses of the Overnight Leadership Camp to support graduates of the YEP program who are interested in a health career.

If you would like to support any of these scholarships or if you would like to talk to us about creating your own youth scholarship fund, please give us a call at 845-485-8627
