Annette Jiménez Gleason joined the staff of the Rochester Area Community Foundation in November 2018. As program officer for vitality, Annette oversees grantmaking and leadership in the areas of arts and culture, historical preservation, and successful aging. Previously, she worked as a reporter for El Mensejaro Católico, a publication of the Catholic Courier, for 13 years.

Born in Utica, NY, she moved to Rochester in 1992 to work as a reporter for the Democrat & Chronicle. She has served as a volunteer at her children’s schools, as a Girl Scouts leader, a Pillars of Hope mentor, and has volunteered as manager of social media and publicity for Borinquen Dance Theatre for more than 13 years.

She is a first-generation graduate of Utica College. Annette is married to Harry Gleason and has two children, Julia and Aidan.
