On Sept. 4, 2025, federal immigration authorities conducted a raid on the Nutrition Bar Confectioners factory in Cato, NY. Agents with Customs and Border Protection purportedly entered the workplace to make a criminal arrest (thought it’s unclear if they produced a judicial warrant), before detaining 69 employees. Several friends and family members of our staff were among those arrested.
A large rapid response team, including RMM staff members, had boots on the ground outside the raid. RMM has been featured in scores of reports from local, national and international news outlets, including The New York Times, CNN, ABC-TV, The Guardian, Los Angeles Times, Boston Herald, The Associated Press, Scripps News Service, Reuters and Telemundo, among countless others.
