Episode 4: In this final episode of the series, we spend some time on the concept of empathy and its relationship to action and social change. We will hear from some RMM Board and Staff members about why the Caravan of Empathy is needed and how it fits into the overall work of creating social and economic justice for immigrants and NY’s rural communities. These contributions include: Cordelia Anthony, Edgar Cerna, Pilar Moya, Kathy Mendall, and Jim Monnier. The long interview is with Maria Christina Martinez, a legislative advocacy consultant for RMM’s Immigrant Legal Rights Project. This episode also features audio from USA Today’s video story about RMM’s 2024 overnight camp.
