Episode 1 – Meet VOLIY

VOLIY Podcast: The Voices of Long Island Youth (VOLIY) Podcast is created and produced by members of Rural & Migrant Ministry’s youth leadership program. VOLIYamplifies the voices of young people across Long Island as they share their stories, perspectives, and visions for a more just and inclusive future.

Through conversations, interviews, and creative projects, the podcast highlights social justice issues that impact their lives and communities — from education and workers’ rights to health, identity, and youth empowerment. Each episode reflects the passion and integrity of youth who are committed to raising awareness and building bridges for change.

In our first episode, the members of VOLIY introduce themselves and share the story of how the group was formed. Listeners will learn about the history and mission of VOLIY, hear directly from the youth about their backgrounds and motivations, and discover the topics they will be exploring this season. From the meaning behind the group’s name to their vision for the future, this episode serves as an introduction to the powerful voices driving the podcast and the issues they are committed to addressing.
