Wanda Martinez-Johncox is the President of Re-lief Corporation, a non-profit, humanitarian organization. She was employed at the Canandaigua Veteran Affair Medical Center (VA) for almost 11 years, and is an advocate for veterans and LGBTQ* Veterans. She is a member of the leadership committee for Rochester Red Cross for the Armed Forces and also volunteers teaching chess to veterans at the Veterans Outreach Center.
Wand was also a member of the Rochester Out Alliance Educational Team for 10 years. She is a Board member of the Ontario Partnership, member of the Canandaigua Climate Committee, member of the Women Build thru Habitat for Humanity in Canandaigua, Advocate for the Suicide Prevention, member of the Canandaigua Rotary Club, and volunteer for the Susan B. Anthony Museum and House.
Wanda is an activist born and raised in Puerto Rico. She started playing chess in the third grade and eventually became National Puerto Rico Chess Champion. Wanda lives in Canandaigua.
